WW1 Imperial German Jawless Lionhead Artillery Officers Sword. The blade length is 32 1/2 inches. The black scabbard has some door dings which makes it hard to draw the sword in and out but I believe this could be fixed. The blade shows standard greying for its age and is still sharp throughout. It would appear that this sword has been used for its intended purpose at one time. The guard is marked 21 A 1 1 on one side which I assume is 21st Artillery. There is some loss of the sharkskin to were the jaw would be of the lion at the top but this does not detract from its overall age. The wire wrap is still in place and is solid. One side of the guard has the crossed cannons on it and the other side is blank. Though not pictured the scabbard is also marked as per the guard with 21 A 1 1. Nice to get a matching one when normally they are mismatched.
