The WW2 US Army Combat Infantryman’s Badge Sterling is an original military insignia awarded to United States Army infantry personnel during the Second World War. Instituted in 1943, the badge was designed to recognize the active participation and combat service of infantrymen during ground combat operations. Constructed of sterling silver, this badge features an infantry musket on a rectangular bar with an oak leaf wreath, symbolizing valor and service.
