WW2 South African Royal West African Frontier Force Slouch Hat Dated 1945

This original World War II South African slouch hat was issued to the Royal West African Frontier Force (RWAFF) and is dated 1945. The slouch hat, widely used by Commonwealth forces, features the characteristic broad brim secured at one side, designed to provide practical sun protection in tropical conditions. Constructed from khaki felt, this example includes the appropriate ventilation eyelets and the standard leather chinstrap.
