The WW2 German Sudetenland Medal Full Size is a historical commemorative decoration issued by Nazi Germany following the annexation of the Sudetenland region in 1938. Officially designated as the “Medal of the Return of the Sudetenland” (Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938), it was presented to military personnel, civil servants, and other individuals who contributed to the occupation and integration of the territory. The medal features a bronze finish and depicts two figures, symbolic of unification, with the date “1. Oktober 1938” on the reverse. The accompanying ribbon is red with black and white stripes, representative of the German national colors of the period. This decoration provides insight into the political history and military actions surrounding the Sudeten Crisis and the expansionist policies of the era.
