The WW2 German S.A. Dagger Jacobs and Company Gruppen is an edged weapon issued to members of the Sturmabteilung (S.A.) during the Nazi era. Manufactured by Jacobs and Company, this dagger conforms to the standard pattern introduced in 1933. It features a nickel-plated crossguard and pommel, with wooden grip plates exhibiting the characteristic S.A. emblem inset. The blade bears the etched motto “Alles für Deutschland” on one side, with the maker’s mark “Jacobs & Co.” on the reverse. The scabbard is constructed of metal, typically painted brown, and fitted with nickel fittings. Issued as a symbol of loyalty and affiliation, these daggers were carried by S.A. personnel as a part of their dress uniform. Variations in insignia and fittings may indicate assignment to specific Gruppen within the organization. This example reflects the material culture and production methods of German paramilitary equipment during the 1930s and 1940s.
