WW2 German Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Breast Eagle

The WW2 German Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Breast Eagle was a uniform insignia issued to members of the German Navy’s coastal artillery units during the Second World War. The design features a stylized German national eagle with outstretched wings, clutching a swastika, and is embroidered in golden-yellow thread on a dark navy-blue woolen backing. Worn on the upper left breast of the tunic, this eagle identified personnel serving in coastal defense roles such as manning shore batteries and fortifications. The detailing was distinctive to the Kriegsmarine coastal artillery, differentiating it from other branches of the German military. Attachment was by sewing directly to the uniform.
