WW2 German Army Heer M35 Reissue Steel Helmet Q64 Lot# 739

This is an all original Q64 M35 steel helmet. The helmet has been reissued with a textured slate gray overpaint (as per 1940 regulation). The inside retains the original pre 1940 deep apple green smooth factory paint. The liner is an early aluminum band with reinforced chinstrap rings. The chinstrap rings are early square cast aluminum. The leather is still somewhat pliable and shows heavy use. The rarely seen early aluminum split pins have been removed and reinstalled at some point. Unfortunately, someone has attempted to “dig” the decals out from under the reissue paint using a chemical stripper. This has removed the decals – the price reflects this. This is an opportunity to add an early m35 to your collection or mannequin display for a much less than the cost of a pristine example.
