WW2 Canadian 1939 to 1945 War Medal In Box Full Size

The WW2 Canadian 1939 to 1945 War Medal is a campaign medal issued to eligible members of the Canadian Armed Forces and merchant seamen who served full-time for at least 28 days between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945, the official period of the Second World War. The medal is made of cupro-nickel, measures approximately 36mm in diameter, and features the crowned effigy of King George VI on the obverse. The reverse displays a lion standing on a double-headed dragon, symbolizing the defeat of the enemies of the Allies. The attached ribbon consists of narrow red edge stripes with a central band of blue flanked by white stripes, representing the colours of the Union Jack.
