WW2 British Royal Navy HM Ships Only Churchmans Cigarette Tin EMPTY

The WW2 British Royal Navy HM Ships Only Churchmans Cigarette Tin is a collectible item dating from the period of the Second World War. Issued by Churchmans, a well-known British tobacco manufacturer, this tin was specifically designated for use aboard His Majesty’s Ships in the Royal Navy. Measuring approximately the size required to hold a standard ration of cigarettes, the tin features distinct period labeling, including the “H.M. Ships Only” marking which restricted its distribution to naval personnel. The construction is typical of the era, utilizing lightweight metal with embossed and printed text. As with many military-issued items, this tin reflects the rationing and distribution systems of the wartime Royal Navy. The tin is empty and is offered as an historical collectible, valued for its association with daily life in the British services during World War II and its relevance to the study of military provisioning practices of the time.
