WW1 British RNAS Royal Naval Air Service Bullion Wire Patch Insignia

A bullion wire patch for the Royal Naval Air Service, Britain’s pioneering naval aviation branch before its 1918 merger into the RAF. Worked in metallic thread, it would have marked an airman engaged in the Royal Navy’s earliest reconnaissance and coastal patrol flying of the First World War. Offered in the condition received.
