**WW1 British BEF The Mons Star: The British Expeditionary Forces 1914** is a used hardcover reference book focusing on the history and context of the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) during the opening months of the First World War. The volume provides detailed coverage of the “Mons Star”—the 1914 Star campaign medal—awarded to members of the original BEF who served in France or Belgium between August and November 1914. The content explores the award’s origins, criteria for issue, variations, and notable recipients, with supporting photographs and documentation.
