German Army Mauser Cleaning Kit With Contents

The German Army Mauser Cleaning Kit With Contents is an original maintenance set designed for the care and servicing of Mauser rifles, commonly used by German military forces during the mid-20th century. Housed in a compact steel container with a secure snap closure, this kit includes essential items such as a pull-through cleaning chain, oil bottle, bore brush, and cleaning pick. The functional design reflects military requirements for portability and durability in field conditions. These kits were typically issued to soldiers alongside Mauser bolt-action rifles to ensure reliable operation and longevity of the weapon. Each component fits securely within individually shaped compartments inside the container, optimizing ease of access and organization. Markings such as manufacturer codes or military acceptance stamps are frequently present, confirming authenticity and manufacturing origins. The kit provides a practical example of standard issue equipment from the period and is representative of German military small arms maintenance practices.
