East German Army Y-Straps

East German Army Y-Straps are a component of military load-bearing equipment used by the Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) of the German Democratic Republic. Designed to distribute the weight of field gear evenly across the shoulders and back, these Y-straps connect a soldier’s belt to backpack or other gear, improving comfort and efficiency during extended use.
