Canadian Militia Other Ranks Medium Button X 8

This set consists of eight Canadian Militia medium-sized buttons, intended for use by other ranks personnel. These uniform buttons were typically issued during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, prior to the unification and reorganization of Canada’s military forces. Each button is constructed from brass with a domed profile, bearing the standard Canadian Militia insignia featuring a crown and “Canada” motif. The back of each button is equipped with a shank for secure attachment to uniforms. Medium buttons were commonly placed on tunics and greatcoats, differentiating other ranks from officers who had distinct insignia and appointments.
