Canadian Forces Special Operations Command CANSOFCOM Cap Badge

The Canadian Forces Special Operations Command (CANSOFCOM) Cap Badge is an official insignia representing CANSOFCOM, a command within the Canadian Armed Forces responsible for special operations forces. Established in 2006, CANSOFCOM integrates several elite units, including Joint Task Force 2 and the Canadian Special Operations Regiment. The cap badge features the distinctive CANSOFCOM emblem, typically incorporating elements such as a V-42 stiletto dagger and maple leaves, symbolizing both the command’s operational focus and its Canadian identity. It is constructed from metal, often with a gold or silver finish depending on the issue, and is worn on dress headgear by qualified personnel. The design reflects the traditions and distinct role of CANSOFCOM within the broader Canadian military structure. This cap badge serves as both a mark of membership for command personnel and an item of interest to collectors of modern Canadian military insignia.
