The Canadian Forces RCN Navy NRU Asterix NATO Deployment Patch is an insignia associated with the Royal Canadian Navy’s support missions. The patch represents the NRU Asterix, a supply ship operated under the Royal Canadian Navy, which supports NATO naval deployments and multinational exercises. Typically featuring embroidered details, it displays elements connected to the Asterix’s role, such as vessel imagery, national identifiers, and mission-specific emblems. Patches of this kind are worn by crew members and personnel involved in NATO deployments, serving both as identification and as a record of operational participation. The patch size, coloration, and symbols may vary depending on deployment and operational requirements, reflecting both Canadian military heritage and NATO coalition affiliations. This artifact is relevant for military collectors, historians, and those interested in contemporary Canadian naval operations, especially in relation to multinational maritime cooperation.
