Canadian Forces RCN Navy HMCS Skeena Zippo Lighter Vintage

The Canadian Forces RCN Navy HMCS Skeena Zippo Lighter Vintage is a collectible piece produced for or in commemoration of HMCS Skeena, a ship that served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Constructed by Zippo, a well-known manufacturer of windproof lighters, this item features durable metal construction and a hinged lid signature to the Zippo design. The lighter is marked with insignia or text referencing the HMCS Skeena, which allows collectors to identify its naval affiliation. The HMCS Skeena name has been attributed to more than one Canadian naval vessel, most notably a WWII-era River-class destroyer and a post-war St. Laurent-class destroyer escort, both of which hold significance in Canada’s naval history. Vintage military lighters such as this are often valued for their association with specific military units and for the insight they provide into historical naval memorabilia and personal effects of service members.
