Canadian Forces RCEME Combat Boonie Cap Badge

The Canadian Forces RCEME Combat Boonie Cap Badge is an official insignia designed for the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME) branch of the Canadian Armed Forces. Intended for wear on combat uniforms, this badge is typically affixed to the front of a boonie cap, providing clear identification of unit and trade affiliation. The design features the distinctive RCEME emblem, which commonly includes elements such as a horse, lightning bolt, and gears, symbolizing the mechanical and technical skills of the corps. Manufactured in subdued colors appropriate for operational environments, this badge is produced to meet military specifications for durability and appearance. The RCEME branch was established to provide engineering support—including maintenance and repair—to the Canadian Forces, and its insignia reflects its critical technical role. This cap badge is a component of modern Canadian military uniform accoutrements and is of interest to collectors of Canadian military artifacts.
