British Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Staybright Cap Badge

The British Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Staybright Cap Badge is a metal military insignia used by members of the regiment. Manufactured from anodised aluminium, commonly referred to as “Staybright,” this badge was introduced in the post-World War II period, primarily during the late 1950s onwards. The Staybright process produced a lightweight, corrosion-resistant badge with a bright finish suitable for parade and ceremonial dress. The design features a representation of the traditional bugle horn, a symbol long associated with light infantry regiments in the British Army. Above the bugle is a crown, signifying loyalty to the monarchy. The construction typically includes two slider fixings on the reverse for easy attachment to the cap.
