The British King George V Coronation Medal is a commemorative decoration issued in 1911 to mark the coronation of King George V. The obverse features the conjoined busts of King George V and Queen Mary, designed by Sir Bertram Mackennal, with the words “GEORGE V AND QUEEN MARY JUNE 22, 1911” encircling the images. The reverse side bears the Royal Cypher and the date of the coronation. Typically struck in silver, the medal measures approximately 32mm in diameter and includes a dark blue ribbon with red and white edges.
