The French Napoleonic Navy Scottish RN Officers Dirk Dagger is a captivating artifact from the early 19th century, showcasing the unique fusion of French naval history and Scottish craftsmanship. Measuring nearly 16 inches in blade length, this dirk exhibits an impeccable handle and a flawlessly preserved structure. A notable feature is the guard, adorned with a Scottish thistle motif, replacing the typical anchor symbol, and adorned with exquisite gilt detailing on both the guard and pommel. While the blade bears intricate etchings, they remain partially obscured due to age-related darkening, preserving their mysterious allure. Despite the lack of identifiable maker marks, this dirk stands as an impressive piece of military history, offering a glimpse into the distinguished service of Scottish Royal Navy officers during the Napoleonic era. This remarkable dirk dagger is perfect for collectors and historians alike, reflecting a rich heritage and exceptional artistry.

French Napoleonic Navy Scottish RN Officers Dirk Dagger. The blade length is almost 16 inches. The handle has no flaws and is in perfect condition. The guard has a scottish thistle instead of an anchor on it. Nice gilt on the guard and pomel. The blade has etching but because of the darking of the blade it is harder to make out exactly what it says. No maker marks that I can find.
