Pre WW1 British Colonel TC Watson Victoria Cross Winners Royal Engineers Tunic

$10,000.00

This is a amazing condition Pre WW1 British Colonel Thomas Colclough Watson Victoria Cross Winners Royal Engineers Scarlet Tunic. This amazing tunic has some scattered moth tracks here and there but would display well. The buttons are Edward the 7th Royal Engineers pattern. Rank is for a Lt Colonel. The collar had seperated and I have had it professionaly repaired but not restored to wear. The ribbon bar is the only thing that was added but the loops that hold it in place were there originally. The VC was awarded for actions in the punjab frontier on Sept 16 1897. In 30 years I have had the privilage of handing three VC winners uniforms. Two seperate ones to the same winner and this one. The medals went for approx 500,000 GBP at auction and I understand are on display at the Imperial War Museum. This is a rare chance to own a real piece of history.
