WW2 Canadian 5 Place Medal Group Full Size

The WW2 Canadian 5 Place Medal Group Full Size is a representative assembly of five full-size medals awarded to Canadian military personnel for service during the Second World War. Typically, such a group consists of decorations common to Canadian forces, such as the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star or France & Germany Star (depending on theatre of service), the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with overseas clasp, and the War Medal 1939-1945. Each medal in the group is constructed to the standard specifications of the era, featuring the correct insignia, ribbon colors, and metal composition as issued by Canadian or British authorities. The group is mounted for display, as commonly worn on ceremonial occasions. This medal combination reflects the recipient’s service in multiple campaigns and theatres, as well as their fulfillment of general service requirements for Canadian forces during World War II. The group provides insight into the range of contributions made by Canadian service members during the conflict.
