The 1939-1945 Star with Battle of Britain Bar Miniature Medal is a reproduction of a World War II British campaign medal in miniature form. The 1939-1945 Star was instituted to recognize service between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945. It features a six-pointed star design, usually made of bronze, bearing the Royal Cypher “GRI VI” and the title “The 1939-1945 Star” on the obverse. This miniature version includes the Battle of Britain Bar, which is attached to the ribbon and denotes participation in the Battle of Britain between 10 July and 31 October 1940 as aircrew of the Royal Air Force or Fleet Air Arm.
