Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Machine Gun 7.62MM C1 Ten Point Check Used Leaflet

The Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) Machine Gun 7.62MM C1 Ten Point Check Used Leaflet is an original military document issued as part of standard operating procedures for Canadian forces. This instructional leaflet was designed for use with the 7.62MM C1 General Purpose Machine Gun, a key support weapon for the Canadian Army during the Cold War era. The “Ten Point Check” refers to a systematic maintenance and safety inspection process to be performed by the gun crew to ensure the reliability and correct function of the weapon. The leaflet was typically distributed at the unit or section level and provides clear, step-by-step guidelines, including points for mechanical inspection, lubrication, and operational readiness. Its association with the PPCLI, a prestigious and longstanding Canadian infantry regiment, reflects standardization in weapon care within the unit. The leaflet is of interest for its historical significance and as a representation of Canadian military procedures during the late 20th century.
