US USAF Military Airlift Command Squadron Crest Patch

The US USAF Military Airlift Command Squadron Crest Patch represents a unit associated with the United States Air Force’s Military Airlift Command (MAC). Established in 1966 and active until 1992, the Military Airlift Command was responsible for strategic airlift operations, providing logistical support and transportation of troops, equipment, and supplies worldwide. This embroidered cloth patch typically features the official crest or insignia of a specific squadron within the command, incorporating elements such as the MAC shield, symbolic aircraft imagery, and the unit’s motto or designation. The patch would have been worn on uniforms by personnel assigned to the respective squadron, serving as a distinctive identifier. Such patches are of interest to collectors and historians for their connection to the USAF’s logistical and operational history, particularly during the Cold War and post-Vietnam conflict era. Dimensions, backing, and stitching style may vary according to the issue period and manufacturer.
