The WW1 Imperial German M84/98 Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog is a military edged weapon issued to German forces during the First World War. This example was produced by J.A. Henckels, a noted Solingen maker, whose mark appears on the ricasso. The M84/98 bayonet was typically paired with the Mauser Gewehr 98 rifle and features a single-edged, fullered blade measuring approximately 25 centimeters in length. The hilt is constructed with wooden grips secured by two screws and has a steel pommel with a press-stud mechanism for attachment.
