Canadian Forces FN C1 OD Green Sling With Plastic Buckles

The Canadian Forces FN C1 OD Green Sling with Plastic Buckles is a standard-issue rifle sling designed for use with the FN C1 battle rifle, which served as the primary service rifle for the Canadian military from the 1950s through the 1980s. Constructed from durable olive drab green webbing, the sling features plastic adjustment buckles, allowing for secure attachment and easy length adjustment. This model replaced earlier versions that used metal hardware, providing a lighter alternative while maintaining robust support under field conditions. The sling is approximately 1.25 inches wide and is compatible with various military rifles equipped with appropriate sling swivels. It is representative of Canadian military equipment from the Cold War era and is notable for its utilitarian design and functional construction. This item is suitable for collectors focusing on Canadian military history or individuals seeking correct accessories for period firearm restorations.
