WW2 Swiss M18/43 Steel Helmet

The WW2 Swiss M18/43 Steel Helmet is an updated version of the original Swiss M1918 combat helmet, introduced during the Second World War. The M18/43 features a distinctive high dome and wide brim design, offering increased protection for Swiss military personnel. Notable improvements from earlier models include a revised liner system and an updated chinstrap assembly to enhance comfort and stability during wear. The shell is constructed from stamped steel and typically finished in a matte dark green paint to reduce light reflection and provide camouflage. Ventilation holes are present on either side of the helmet to improve wearability. The M18/43 remained standard issue for Swiss forces well into the post-war period and saw use during key moments of Swiss military mobilization.
