The WW2 German SA Dagger with Anodized Scabbard, bearing the maker mark of Friedrich Schmitz, represents a standard-issue sidearm for Sturmabteilung (SA) personnel during the Nazi era. This example features the characteristic nickel-plated crossguards, wooden grip with inset SA roundel and eagle, and a blade etched with the “Alles für Deutschland” motto. The scabbard retains its original anodized finish, although the surfaces indicate evidence of cleaning, common for aged steel and nickel components. The reverse of the blade is marked with the emblem and name of Friedrich Schmitz, Solingen—a recognized Solingen manufacturer during the period. As with many surviving SA daggers, signs of wear and handling are apparent, consistent with its age and historical use. This dagger serves as a representative artifact of the early Third Reich paramilitary forces and exemplifies the typical features and craftsmanship associated with mid-1930s SA-issue edged weapons.
