This pair of WW2 Canadian RCN Navy CANADA Shoulder Titles Insignia consists of two cloth patches worn by Royal Canadian Navy personnel during the Second World War. Embroidered with the word “CANADA,” these shoulder titles identified the wearer’s national service within the Commonwealth forces. Made from dark blue wool with white thread lettering, they were typically sewn onto the upper sleeves of naval uniforms. The use of shoulder titles was standard practice during the war to distinguish Canadian servicemen from their British and other Commonwealth counterparts. These insignia are representative of the period and reflect both the organizational structure and identification methods employed by the Royal Canadian Navy. Such patches are of interest to collectors and historians for their historical context and the insight they provide into military uniform regulations during the 1939–1945 era. Each title measures approximately 10 cm in length and follows the traditional curved design used for naval shoulder patches at the time.
