The WW2 German Eastern Front Medal Full Size NO MAKER MARK is an original example of the campaign medal awarded by Nazi Germany to Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS personnel who served on the Eastern Front during the winter of 1941–1942. Officially known as the “Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42” medal, it recognized service under harsh conditions in the conflict against the Soviet Union. This full-size version is produced in zinc with a darkened finish, showing the typical laurel wreath and crossed sword motif on the obverse. The reverse bears the traditional “Winterschlacht Im Osten 1941/42” inscription. This medal is unmarked, in line with some period examples that were distributed without a manufacturer’s stamp. The item includes the original ribbon in the recognized red, white, and black color scheme. The lack of maker marking is consistent with variations introduced during wartime production.
